Dia 27 de novembro será lançado pela Sony Legacy um box especial em comemoração dos 20 anos do primeiro álbum do Rage Against the Machine.
Junto com o enorme box serão reveladas diversas demos e versões ao vivo e alternativas dos primeiros clássicos da incendiária banda de Los Angeles.
O box, intitulado Rage Against the Machine XX, será comercializado em três diferentes versões: 1 CD com três faixas bônus, 1 CD duplo com um DVD extra e na forma de um boxset contendo 2 CDs, 2 DVDs, um vinil, um pôster especial e 1 livro de 40 páginas sobre a banda, que contém um texto de Chuck D, do Public Enemy (confira o tracklist inteiro no final do post).
Apesar de shows em alguns grandes festivais até o final de 2010 – incluindo aí uma apresentação no SWU -, o RATM não pretende lançar nenhum trabalho novo.
“Não há planos para nada. Esse boxset é o primeiro lançamento do RATM em 12 anos”, disse Tom Morello ao semanário inglês NME.
Até agora, já foram reveladas as demos de “Freedom”, “Killing in the Name” e “Bullet in the Head”, além das inéditas “Mindset’s a Threat” e “Clear the Lane” mais um vídeo inédito de “Take the Power Back”.
